It's been quite some time since my last update and a few things have gone down since then. I didn't intend to take so much time between posts, so the following events are in no particular order.
Firstly, and much to my joy, I finally confirmed my "Mac Nerdiness" and purchased an iPhone. The actual purchasing and transaction of getting the iPhone was way more complicated than I would have liked or expected it to be knowing how Apple has handled things in the past. It's all about smooth and simple, right? Not with the iPhone. It seems that the stores are in a state of chaos if more than 2 people are looking for the iPhone and suddenly your waiting on a list. It was just weird. Anyway, once we finally got with a salesperson it took like 25 minutes to set up an AT&T account ( I switched from Verizon and got a new number ) and activate the phone. It's not eternity but it certainly was a
little drawn out. My only other complaint with the iPhone is the sadistically priced monthly fees. With very few minutes and unlimited texting only I'm dropping 80 bucks a month on this thing. Considering it was $279.99 retail price, I'm paying for it again within around 3 months.
With all that bitching and whining out of the way, it's one of the best things Apple has done. Sure it costs an arm, a leg and your first born, but it's a life saver. Being able to acess the internet anywhere is absolutely awesome. Email on the go, unique and fun interface, it's all there. I even get service places my Verizon phone didn't which is really nice. I was worried that I wouldn't like AT&T, but I do. So definitely pick up an iPhone because they are fantastic if you can lay down the obscene amount of money. It's a great tool to help keep you organized and operate as your phone to keep you socially connected.

Another happening of the past week or so since my last post includes a movie I watched which was recommended to me by my therapist. Before I let loose the name of the movie and get ridiculed by my non-existant audience, understand that I will watch anything with Ryan Reynolds in it. He is one of my favorite actors of all time. Watch his movies, especially Chaos Theory. Anyway, the movie was Definitely Maybe and I was totally mesmerized by it. I don't want to reveal any plots points or anything that could be considered a spoiler in anyway because the movie really was fantastic and I think it should be experienced totally blind. I give it 4 and a half stars.

I really love when I find a good movie like this and the one I'm about to mention. When a story really entrances you and keeps you reacting exactly the way it's intended to do so, nothing feels like it to me. I think this has a lot to do with why I am so interested in film. To be able to create and instill these feelings on people must be such a legendary feeling. But alas, I'll continue with my already too long post.
The other movie I watched after hearing and reading many marvelous reviews was one that I definitely should have seen in theaters but I have been way too lazy this summer to go see anything. Considering movies are $10.50 around here I don't blame myself though. Anyway, the movie was 21 and had an amazing cast. Thats probably my favorite part of the movie, the cast. The story was insanely predictable and a little drawn out but the cast made it worth every sign and over filmed second. It wasn't titanic or Dark Knight long, but it felt a little awkwardly long. Nothing big. It was definitely a great movie worth watching. I give it 4 stars.
Thats pretty much it. I'll probably post a more youtube oriented blog entry tomorrow. I hope this was a somewhat rewarding experience and thanks for reading :D
